Power, Shame, & the Path to Relational Equality | Parker Hall

April 18 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This experiential workshop explores how patterns of shame and grandiosity, often shaped by trauma adaptations and cultural power dynamics, can distort communication and undermine relational equality. Participants will examine how “1-up” and “1-down” dynamics emerge in personal and professional interactions, and how these patterns contribute to power imbalances and relational conflict.

Through presentation, discussion, and structured experiential exercises, participants will practice grounded communication skills that support dignity, boundary clarity, and mutual respect. The workshop offers practical tools to move beyond polarized relational patterns toward more balanced, equality-based interactions.
