Ecospirituality Meeting
February 25 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Embracing the interconnectedness of all life, our upcoming Eco Spirituality meeting will delve into the theme of “Us and Them” and removing the stigma and ideology of “the other.” Inspired by humans and nature, we invite you to reflect on moments when you’ve encountered this dichotomy and discovered a harmonious compromise or union. Such as “That surprise snowstorm almost got me and my family, but a truck with chains came along and now I never travel without snow pants and flares, and I have stayed somewhere I wasn’t delighted to because the weather made me do it, sometimes it’s not my decision to over-ride nature.” What’s your story, that ended with a smile?
For the first hour, we’ll have discussion and materials will be provided for making clay fairy doors. Feel free to express your creativity and connect with nature through this hands-on activity. We’ll draw insights from “Fuzz” by Mary Roach, delving into the unpredictable world where humans and wildlife intersect. Bring your reflections to share with the group. For the second hour, weather permitting, we’ll embark on a nature walk led by one of our fellow group members. It’s a wonderful opportunity to immerse ourselves in the natural surroundings and continue our reflections on the theme of unity with nature. We look forward to a fulfilling and inspiring gathering.
