The Committee on Shared Ministries is comprised of the following volunteer groups:
Buildings and Ground Operations Ministry
Building and Grounds Operations Ministry is responsible for planning, purchasing and maintaining the interior furnishings, movable equipment, supplies, and the interior design of the buildings, as well as landscaping and some exterior decor.

Communications Ministry

Community Building Ministry
Community Building oversees fun events which integrate members and friends into the NUUC community.

Membership Ministry
Membership focuses on welcoming visitors and integrating new members into congregational life, through workshops and other welcoming activities.

Music Ministry
The Music ministry works with the minister and worship associates to ensure there is appropriate and beautiful music to enhance our Sunday services.

Pastoral Care Ministry
The Pastoral Care team ministers to friends and members during times of need, such as illness, death, or other hardships as well as in times of celebration.

Adult Religious Exploration Ministry
Adult Religious Education provides a variety of classes and workshops for members and friends, often steered toward our Congregation’s interests and talents.

Religious Education for Children and Youth Ministry
Religious Education (RE) supports and advises the Director of Religious Education in implementing the youth programs at NUUC. The team recruits and supports mentors who lead classes for our youth on a rotating basis. For more information, please contact DRE@NamaquaUU.org
Social Justice Ministry
The social justice ministry facilitates and communicates ways for NUUC members and friends to impact the local community and the wider world. The Rainbow Task Force was created in 2014 to coordinate the congregation’s successful efforts to be recognized as a UUA LGBTQ Welcoming Congregation.

Worship Associates Ministry
Worship Associates are trained lay members of the congregation who work with the minister to create spiritually meaningful experiences in our services., such as offering a reflection on the worship theme or leading services in the minister’s absence.
