DESCRIPTION:After the service\, we will enjoy lunch together and watch the Ken Burns film\, “Defying the Nazis: the Sharps’ War”. This movie tells the story of Unitarian minister Waitstill Sharp (voiced by Tom Hanks) and his wife\, Martha Sharp\, who rescued thousands of Jews\, intellectuals\, and children during WWII. You can also join the movie virtually by staying on the same Zoom link as our worship service. The movie runs just over an hour. \nRev. Dana will provide snacks\, but please bring a dish or snacks to share if you can.

DESCRIPTION:The UU Addiction Recovery Group\, led by Rev. Dana and Pedro Lopez\, is open to anyone seeking a community of support for their addiction recovery or those with loved ones struggling with addiction. It is based on the twelve-step approach and is intended to be a support for other twelve-step programs. Meetings will take place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month\, 6:30-8 p.m.

Join us as we explore ways to ensure that when we stand for justice and equity\, we are also standing on the side of love. \nBio: Herb Orrell is a native New Yorker who grew up on Long Island\, where he enjoyed surfing and sailing. He began studying music when he was eight years old\, and the guitar has remained a close companion ever since. \nHe graduated from Drew Theological Seminary and served as a United Methodist minister in the New Mexico Annual Conference. He then went to work in the oil industry\, where he specialized in organizational development and quality control. \nHerb is an author\, composer\, an avid camper\, and baseball fan.
