SUMMARY:Worship Service - “Revelations of the Aramaic Jesus” with Rev. Timothy Dobson and Rev. Dana Lightsey
DESCRIPTION:It is not unusual for some UUs to find Christian teachings difficult and even triggering. This Sunday’s service will give us a helpful reframing\, with the focus on the teachings of Jesus directly from his native tongue of Aramaic\, as translated by linguistic scholar Neil Douglas-Klotz. Klotz also wrote music for the words. Our presenter\, Rev. Timothy Dobson\, has been a student of these teachings and this music for thirty-five years. Timothy will lead us in singing some of these melodies and will delve into the rich metaphoric meanings behind the teachings. \n \nBio: Timothy Dobson is a minister of the All Seasons Chalice Church/Starhouse in Boulder and the founding minister of SpirtKeepers Interfaith Fellowship\, which met for 20 years\, also in Boulder. He has taught the Dances of Universal Peace along the Colorado Front Range and offered workshops through the dances nationally and internationally over the last 35 years. \nClick Here for the Zoom Link!

SUMMARY:Visioning Flourishing Democracy with Sound Bath | Parker Hall
DESCRIPTION:Imagine our country thriving as a healthy democracy again\, and hold that vision daily. In this gathering\, we will focus on what we do want and make space for that future through prayers and spoken inspiration. You’ll be invited to feel a wave of relief\, then notice what that future looks\, sounds\, smells\, and feels like. Our February mantra is Calm and Centered. If hope is a muscle\, come work out with us. We’ll include 20–30 minutes of singing bowl meditation. Come as you are. Meditate in a chair or bring a yoga mat and blankets to lie down.
