SUMMARY:Worship Service - “Earth Song: Music Sunday”
DESCRIPTION:“This dark stormy hour\, the wind it stirs. The scorched earth cries out in vain. But music and singing have been my refuge\, and music and singing shall be my light” \nThis refrain from Frank Ticheli’s beautiful Earth Song is one of the pieces that the choir will be sharing on this day\, our first Music Sunday.  We will explore our connection with\, our responsibility to\, and love for our beautiful planet through song.  In musical composition\, we often hear the interplay between dissonance and harmonic resolve.  It is not a large leap to think about how we experience that same conflict and resolution in our natural world. Each voice/birdsong\, each breath/gust of wind\, each heartbeat/ocean wave holds a part in how the music/environment may coalesce or fall apart.  Please join Music Director Ryan Marvel\, Rev.
